1. All Prize Money is GUARANTEED 2. Handicap is 70% of 230. NO Minimum average. 4 game qualifying format in most events with a 3 game semi-finals, also in most events. Step Ladder Finals in most events. 3. NO average Divisions for Qualifying If offered, A. Over (205 and over). B. Under (204 and Under) 4. Games bowled that are 40 or more under the assigned average will NOT count towards Tournament Average 5. Entering average is the highest book of the last 2 years of 9 or more games, includes current league averages. No average, 230 will be assigned. Averages are updated after each event. Failure to bowl in an event at least once every 3 months will mean your assigned average may increase based on your league average. 6. Tournament average is the highest of your entering average or actual pin fall based on rules, unless you don't cash under our cashing ratio guidelines. 7. *PBA or equivalent, National Title holders CANNOT bowl. Regional Winners in the past 12 months also CANNOT bowl and may be restricted based directors decision. Minimum average for ANY PBA or equivalent member is 220. 8. Most events cut is by squad. (IF)*Cut is by Division by day. Each Squad Leader in (IF) EACH division is automatically seeded to the Semi-Finals – (minimum of 6 entries in the squad, and included as part of the overall cut for the day). All Semi-Finalists bowl together for ONE (1) cut to the finals, based on handicapped scores. NO CARRY-OVER of pins. 9. Tie Scores: All Ties in the Qualifying will advance to the Semi-Finals. If a Tie happens in the Step Ladder Finals, a 9th and 10th Frame roll-off will occur, which will mean a bowler can win or lose a match by a FRACTION of a pin. Handicap will be 1/10th per Frame of the assigned handicap for each game. 10. Western States Open is a Subsidiary of ABT Bowling (The Amateur Bowlers Tour). Banking etc… is handled through the ABT national Office. |
